Following the recent NXT firings, a report has indicated that more WWE releases are expected to be announced soon.
WWE recently cut a number of NXT talents who were previously considered top prospects for the company. Here is the list of names released so far:
- Bronson Reed
- Leon Ruff
- Tyler Rust
- Mercedes Martinez
- Bobby Fish
- Ari Sterling
- Jake Atlas
- Kona Reeves
- Zechariah Smith
- Asher Hale
- Giant Zanjeer
- Stephon Smith
- Desmond Troy
As per Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast, it is expected that more stars will be let go soon. Retweeting Sean Ross Sapp’s report, Zarian tweeted:
“And more to come.”
Sapp has also pointed out that WWE has released over 100 wrestlers since April 2020. As per a separate report, WWE plans to repackage NXT, reformatting the show.
