Former WWE star and producer Brian Kendrick has been granted his release by WWE, and has already been booked in a match against AEW star Jon Moxley on tonight’s (February 2) episode of AEW Dynamite.
Kendrick has been released just a few weeks after Mustafa Ali requested his release, and was, for whatever reason, not granted his request.
Following the news of Kendrick’s release, Ali took to Twitter to seemingly react to the news with a video, as you can see below.

Ali certainly isn’t masking the fact he’s frustrated with WWE’s decision to not grant his request, and considering he’s not being used on TV, it’s pretty understandable.
It isn’t exactly clear why WWE denied Ali’s request, but the longer he’s kept off TV, the less the decision makes sense.
