A WWE star has reminisced about a memorable match with a current AEW champion.
In 2016, WWE introduced a new weekly series dedicated to the cruiserweight division entitled, “205 Live.”
The program featured many great matches, but there was probably no bout remembered more fondly than the Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy No Disqualification match from the July 3, 2018 episode of 205 Live.
The two men left everything in the ring to conclude their months-long rivalry with Ali coming out victorious.
On Monday, WrestleClips posted a highlight reel of the bout that led to Mustafa Ali responding to state his gratitude for how fans remember this bout. He tweeted:
im so grateful that after all this time, fans still remember this.
Ali is currently on the Raw brand and in a feud with Dolph Ziggler, while Buddy Murphy is now Buddy Matthews in All Elite Wrestling where he recently won the AEW World Trios Championships alongside Malakai Black and Brody King of the House of Black.
