
Ali has commented on Royal Rumble speculation, stating that he still wants to be released from his WWE contract.
As of writing, 25 competitors have been announced for the men’s Royal Rumble match. Mustafa Ali mas now taken to social media to note that he’s not interested in wrestling on tonight’s show.
Still looking to get out of his WWE contract, Ali tweeted:
no, i would not like to be in rumble. i would like my release.

On January 16, Ali announced that he requested his release from WWE. Following reports that WWE informed Ali that his request will not be granted, fans have taken to social media with the hashtag ‘#FreeAli’.
Ali reportedly had a heated argument with Vince McMahon before asking to be let go from the company. The SmackDown star has not featured on WWE TV since the October 29 edition of SmackDown.
