Japanese promotion DDT Pro Wrestling has teased the arrival of a mystery former WWE star, hyping them up for a future title bout.
During the promotion’s Mega Max Bump show on Wednesday (April 3), Tetsuya Endo defended his DDT Universal Championship against MAO.
Following the bout, a vignette revealed that a former WWE star will be revealed at DDT’s May 21 show, ahead of them challenging for the Universal Title on July 23.
The video featured the following message from the ex-WWE name:
I have won many titles.
Next target is DDT, Universal Title.
On July 23, Ryogoku. I will go to steal the belt.
Sharing the vignette on social media, DDT captioned the video:
After the UNIVERSAL Championship match, a mysterious former WWE superstar’s participation in the 7/23 Ryogoku Kokugikan Tournament VTR appeared in the vision of the venue!
Aiming for the UNIVERSAL belt, its true identity will be revealed at the Korakuen Hall tournament on May 21!?
