Austin Theory Name Change Officially Confirmed At Clash At The Castle

The WWE Clash at the Castle pre-show is barely even underway and already news is being made as Austin Theory has regained his first name!

On the pre-show, a match was announced between Madcap Moss & Street Profits vs. Austin Theory and Alpha Academy.

Notably, Theory’s name was introduced as Austin Theory in the first official confirmation that the Wunderkind was returning to his former moniker.

While numerous name changes occurred under the now defunct Vince McMahon edict that performers were not to be using their actual, legal names as their WWE names,

Theory marks yet another example of that edict being reversed.

First Ciampa, then Riddle, next Theory – now if only we can save Pete Dunne from being ‘Butch’ and we’re almost set!
