We reported last night that SmackDown Live superstar Jimmy Uso had been arrested following a drunken confrontation with a police officer.
Uso was allegedly travelling in his car with his wife, fellow SmackDown star Naomi, when she managed to turn the wrong way down a one way street and was then pulled over.
When cops stopped the vehicle it reportedly smelled of alcohol, causing them to ask Naomi to step out of the car. While Naomi was speaking with the officers, Jimmy allegedly got out of the car, removed his shirt and squared up to the policemen as if we wanted to fight.
When Uso eventually settled he was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct. Uso is no longer in jail having posted a bond for his release.
WWE released the following very brief statement following the incident: “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
As mentioned above, Naomi was also in the car, and has now responded to a fan on Twitter concerned for her safety.
Yes dear we are safe and ok thank you and love y’all ? https://t.co/gLmTzgEKB0

Good to hear.
Jimmy is set to take on the Miz and Shane McMahon alongside his brother at this Sunday’s Elimination Chamber. It is unclear whether his actions will affect the outcome of this match.
