Natalya has reacted to Maxxine Dupri’s in-ring style during her first WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship defense.
The December 15 episode of WWE Raw saw Dupri in her first televised title defense, defeating Ivy Nile by submission.
With the official WWE Twitter account noting that “the training sessions between Natalya and Dupri are paying off”, her mentor responded on Twitter with a message that reads:
“The Dungeon is real.”
The Dungeon is the training facility co-owned by Natayla and TJ Wilson, with Dupri being a regular attendee.
Natalya has recently spoken about the “turning point” in her relationship with Dupri, who had previously credited her menton with helping her find a more aggressive aspect to her in-ring work.
With greater interest in a match against Dupri, the champion has also teased a potential character change, noting she wants “to be a killer“.
One such challenger could eventually be her own coach, with Natalya officially introducing her Nattie Neidhart persona to the WWE audience during recent training videos.
Becky Lynch was less impressed by Dupri, calling out the match, the result and the new sideplates on the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
