Noting it has been seven years since she last held a singles title, Natalya has reacted to the new WWE Women’s United States Championship.
WWE veteran Natalya has been a staple in the women’s division since 2008, but despite her tenure with the company, she hasn’t held singles gold in quite some time.
Tonight on WWE SmackDown, the addition of the WWE Women’s United States Championship was announced by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.
Reacting to the news, Natalya wrote on Twitter:
A new title for women in @wwe, I’m beyond excited for this.
It’s been 7 years since I’ve won a singles title and I’ve never stopped working towards winning a championship again.
I truly believe hard work always pays off. LFG!
Natalya has been a singles champion twice in her time in WWE, first when she was Divas Champion in 2010, and most recently as SmackDown Women’s Champion in 2017.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, there was a major update on the reunion between Sami Zayn and the OG Bloodline, Roman Reigns and The Usos.
