A new AEW championship has been unveiled on tonight’s Summer Blockbuster episode of Dynamite, with the winner being crowned at All In.
On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada confronted AEW International Champion Kenny Omega to close the Dynamite portion of Fyter Fest.
Following the show, it was made official that the highly anticipated encounter between Okada and Omega would take place at AEW All In Texas, with both the International and Continental Championship being on the line.
The contract signing for the match was announced for tonight’s Summer Blockbuster show, where a new championship was officially unveiled.
At the start of the contract signing, Tony Schiavone announced that the winner of Okada and Omega’s clash at All In would be crowned the new AEW Unified Champion.
The championship features sideplates of both a One Winged Angel being hit and a Rainmaker being hit.
The segment ended with Okada revealing his alliance with Don Callis, as Okada attacked Omega as he was leaving on a stretcher.
