New ‘AEW Shockwave’ Show Update

The latest update has emerged on plans for AEW shows in 2025 including the potential new show, AEW Shockwave.

With the new deal between AEW and WBD concluding, there’s more news on what that means going forward.

Coming out of the new deal being confirmed, it was known that Dynamite and Collision will be continuing under the WBD banner.

As things stand, Rampage and Battle of the Belts aren’t actively planned to continue in 2025.

However, there has been talk of the addition of an entirely new show called Shockwave.

A new report from Fightful Select has provided an update, noting that Shockwave has been “actively discussed” and AEW has spoken to various networks about it.

Another big note coming from the new deal was that WBD no longer has exclusivity over AEW content, so Shockwave could land somewhere entirely different.

A rumored landing spot for Shockwave has been Fox, but Fightful’s report notes that no deal has been reached as of yet.

Fox has reportedly been interested in non-WWE wrestling programming “for quite some time”.

AEW filed to trademark Shockwave as a show name back in early September.
