The name of a brand new AEW show has potentially been revealed via a new trademark filing.
On September 6, All Elite Wrestling filed a trademark application with the United States Patent & Trademark Office for ‘AEW: Shockwave’.
The application is currently pending and awaiting assignment to an examining attorney.
The following is the description of the filing:
Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of professional wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling
It’s not currently clear what AEW’s plans are for the Shockwave name should they acquire the rights to it, but fans have speculated it could be a potential new show or pay-per-view event.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on AEW: Shockwave as/when they become available.
