AEW continues to amass talent from across the wrestling business, but one name has been called ‘one of our best hires in a long long time.’
Speaking on his What Happened When podcast, AEW commentator and senior producer Tony Schiavone praised Renee Paquette, saying:
“She’s wonderful. She’s such a pro, she is so good on camera, at what she does and it prevents me from running backstage 100 times now, too.”
Paquette debuted on the October 12 edition of AEW Dynamite as a backstage interviewer and has appeared regularly since.
Schiavone has seen this addition as a benefit to AEW and sees potential in her presence, stating:
“I’m just really, really thrilled about us having her, and hopefully we use her more.”
In conclusion, Schiavone said:
“She’s so cool, one of our best hires in a long long time, she really is.”
Tony Khan recently also praised Paquette, saying that she had taken things to “another level”.
Paquette left WWE in 2020 and has a podcast of her own, The Sessions with Renee Paquette, described as ‘uncensored, unscripted, in-depth conversations with the biggest names in combat sports, as well as her celebrity friends.’
