Tonight’s WWE NXT TakeOver XXX special event on the WWE Network saw a new North American Champion crowned in a five-way ladder match.
Damian Priest is the new champion after beating Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Velveteen Dream and Cameron Grimes in a rather entertaining clash.

The title was relinquished by Keith Lee on the July 22 episode of NXT two weeks after he won the NXT Championship from Adam Cole to become double champion.
Damian Priest, qualified for the ladder match after beating Ridge Holland and Oney Lorcan in a triple-threat qualifier, the latter of whom competed on the pre-show of TakeOver in a three-way tag match.
For what it’s worth, I thought the ladder match was pretty damn good. The match started off fairly good, but definitely got better throughout, with Gargano, Grimes and Reed putting in great performances.
