We’ve got a new United States Champion. Apollo Crews defeated Andrade on WWE Raw to capture his first title in WWE.
Apollo has been on a major upswing since trading in the blue brand for greener pastures on WWE Raw. He originally qualified for The Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Seriously couldn’t be happier for @WWEApollo 👏👏 One of the nicest and best people I know.
Proud to call you a friend & NEWWWW #USChampion 🥳❤️ https://t.co/tr4GilU8US— Jessica McKay (@JessicaMcKay) May 26, 2020
However, he suffered an injury in a previous match with Andrade and had to miss the show. Crews vowed to get back at Vega and Andrade and take his title.
Crews delivered on his promise. The match itself was quite good.
Crews won after hitting a Press Slam, Standing Moonsault, and Standing Shooting Star Press combination. After the match, he cut what would easily have to be his best promo, showing emotion and fire.

Where does Andrade go from here? Many are speculating Andrade will move on to chase Drew McIntyre and the WWE Championship. This could culminate in a match at SummerSlam between the two.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Angel Garza step up to feud with Apollo. Whatever the case, major congratulations go out to Apollo Crews for his big title win.
