A new court date has been scheduled for AEW star Jeff Hardy’s arraignment and bond hearing following his recent DUI arrest.
Hardy was arrested on June 13 in Volusia, Florida, with his two blood-alcohol tests after his arrest coming in at 3.7 times Florida’s legal limit.
It was previously noted that Hardy would have his official arraignment and bond hearing on Tuesday (June 5).
Per Wrestling Inc, Hardy now has this hearing scheduled for August 2 in Volusia County, Florida. A Volusia County court official was unable to confirm that the July 5 hearing went ahead, per the report.
Hardy filed a written plea of ‘not guilty’ for his DUI charge on June 28. You can read more about Hardy’s plea right here.
Following Hardy’s arrest, AEW President Tony Khan announced that the star had been suspended without pay, and wouldn’t be returning unless he could maintain sobriety.
In the media call ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Tony Khan confirmed that Jeff Hardy was in treatment to address his issues.
We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
