AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has announced a new date for the World Title match between Kenny Omega and Jungle Boy.
As revealed on Busted Open Radio, the match will now take place on the Saturday, June 26 episode of Dynamite. It had originally been advertised for “in two weeks” during Double Or Nothing this past Sunday.
The NBA has been causing havoc with AEW’s Dynamite schedule, so here’s how it looks this month so you’re up to speed:
- Friday, June 4 (today)
- Friday, June 11
- Friday, June 18 OR Saturday, June 19
- Saturday, June 26
Well that’s fun.
Luckily, the Turner bigwigs have realized this problem and next year Dynamite will be on TBS so there should be no such problem.
Jungle Boy earned the chance to challenge Kenny Omega for the championship by winning the Casino Battle Royale at Double Or Nothing.
