November 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of The New Day with the trio being introduced via vignettes on WWE Raw in 2014.
The first of the vignettes would air on November 3, 2014 with Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods making their New Day debut on the November 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Fast forward 10 years to this week’s WWE Raw (November 4) and tensions between Woods and Kingston continued to build before, during, and after their match against the War Raiders.
While Woods and Kingston may not be gelling as a tag team, Adam Pearce has a vision for celebrating the success of The New Day.
In a WWE Raw Exclusive (that can be seen below this news story), Pearce pitched the plans to Kingston, saying:
“This year, ten years as New Day. It’s time to celebrate, man.
“You guys are one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history. Because of that, if it’s cool with guys, I actually wanted to dedicate a special episode of Raw to celebrating you. An entire episode, if it’s cool with you guys.”
Kingston would agree with Pearce’s plan, noting the dissent within the team but saying it things would be better by the time of the anniversary.
Big E continues to be sidelined from the broken neck he suffered in March 2022 and has provided an update on a potential in-ring return.
It was previously reported that Big E could be the one to reunite the New Day should he be cleared for a return.
