New Day React To WWE Raw Fan Negativity

A week after the New Day 10th Anniversary Celebration, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have reacted to the negative fan reaction.

The December 2 episode of WWE Raw saw Big E ejected from the New Day with Woods and Kingston sharing their opinion of the long-absent star to his face.

Last night’s WWE Raw saw Cathy Kelley catch up with Woods and Kingston backstage, noting that their attitudes were at odds with the “don’t you dare be sour” message they previously used, as can be seen below this news story.

In response, Kingston would be first to speak, saying:

“Hold on, Cathy, you’re supposed to be a neutral party. Why would you ask a question like that?”

Woods would interject, noting that they were going to “talk to the people they really need to talk to” and say that they would go out there to speak face-to-face.

With Kelley trying to get a response to her initial question, Woods would grow frustrated and grab a camera from long-standing WWE cameraman Stu, before heading to the ring.

The fans, having been vocal with their “New Day sucks” chants during the backstage segment were even louder as Woods and Kingston greeted them.

Eventually, both men stepped into the ring to the chants with Kingston trying to silence them before saying:

“You mean to tell me… after the ten years of positivity that Woods and I have given you… you’re this mad over one day.”

Woods would try to overpower the power of negativity, being stopped from completing his sentence a couple of times before stating:

“We didn’t do anything to [Big] E.”

Kingston noted that they could have attacked Big E last week, saying:

“We could have taken a steel chair to E’s back. We could have taken a sledgehammer to the back of E’s neck.”

The “New Day sucks” and “Big E” chants intensified with Woods once again getting hold of the mic, saying:

“You know what.. we were going to come out here…”

By this point, both men left the ring in frustration as the boos continued and both men were drowned out once again.

In response to the less than favorable reaction on WWE Raw, both men have responded on Twitter with Kingston posting:

Really?

Woods would respond to the hostile reaction of the Kansas crowd with a message that read:

It’s like that? Ok

Replies to both men’s tweets continued the negative trend from fans, with a number mentioning Big E.
