Some new details have emerged regarding fans in attendance at AEW Dynamite tapings and the COVID-19 protocol the promotion has in place.
During last night’s show, it was made clear early on that there were more fans in attendance than there had been previously, which was shown on camera and mentioned on commentary.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that sources say there were about 150 fans in attendance at Daily’s Place, and that temperature checks were carried out on an ‘iPad-like device’ before people were allowed to enter.
The device was also said to detect that everyone was wearing a mask, and mask-wearing was enforced by security all throughout the show.
As has previously been reported, the fans were far enough away from everyone from within AEW who was close to the ringside area, as all those people had undergone actual COVID-19 tests unlike the fans who just had temperature checks.
The report also said one person described it as feeling more like a test for re-opening than a closed-set taping.
