Just as we prepare for the WWE TLC pay per view to begin, new details have emerged about tonight’s show. Details that pertain to the show’s match order and potential main event.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that the plan was for WWE to open the main card with a world title match. The presumed match was said to be AJ Styles vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship. Of course, the other world title match set for the show is Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. Both of these matches are scheduled to be TLC matches.
The report also states that the Firefly Inferno match was being considered for the main event spot. This match will be between Randy Orton and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. The report noted that there have been heavy preparations for the match tonight.
The final detail in the report was that talent had not been informed of their spot on the card prior to the show.
WWE TLC is set to begin at 7:00 pm EST with the kickoff show starting at 6:00 pm EST.
