An update on the potential new AEW stable name for the House of Black amid rumours of Malakai Black’s departure.
The future of Malakai Black in AEW has been a hot topic in wrestling since last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, when Will Ospreay told Buddy Matthews that he didn’t need a leader anymore.
After that Dynamite, Cope approached Brody King and Julia Hart backstage, telling them the same, before it was reported that Malakai Black was expected to leave the company.
Following the reports of Black’s potential departure, Brody King filed to trademark the name ‘Hounds of Hell’, which many believed would be the name of a new stable or team featuring King.
In an update on the potential new name for the group, Buddy Matthews has now filed to trademark the name ‘Hell Hounds’ with the following purposes:
Advertising services, namely, promoting the goods and services of others; organizing fairs for commercial and advertising purposes; providing a searchable website featuring the goods and services of other vendors
WWE’s reaction to Malakai Black’s reported AEW departure has been revealed, which you can see here.
