Last night’s Redemption pay per view saw the introduction of an array of gorgeous new Impact title belts however some of the champions only held their new gold for a matter of hours.

The main event saw Austin Aries finally lose a belt in his seemingly endless collection as he was defeated by Pentagon Jr in a triple threat match that also featured Ray Fenix. Considering that this was Pentagon’s first official match in an Impact ring, winning a World Championship isn’t a bad start at all.

Pentagon Jr is well known for his work in Lucha Underground where he also is the current world champion and is surely going to quickly become a fan favourite with the Impact crowd as well during this title run.

The unlikely team of Eli Drake and Scott Steiner also won new gold as they defeated LAX to become the new Tag Team champions. The match came to fruition as a result of Drake cashing in his feast or fired contract in which he surprisingly picked ‘Big Poppa Pump’ as his partner.
It’ll be interesting to see whether the team of Drake and Steiner has any longevity considering Steiner’s unpredictable schedule but for now they sit atop the Tag Team division.

Matt Sydal and Allie retained the X Division and Knockout’s titles respectively to round off a stacked show for the ever-improving Impact.
