Following his underwhelming appearance at Impact Wrestling pay-per-view Bound For Glory last night, James Ellsworth will be making yet another WWE return on SmackDown 1000 tomorrow.
He was fired onscreen by SmackDown GM Paige on July 24 after his short term contract with the company expired.
Ellsworth had been a much-hated figure on the blue brand in recent years, thanks to his over-push in 2016 that saw him score wins over WWE Champion AJ Styles and for his involvement in Carmella’s briefcase victory at Money In The Bank 2017.
There are already several names confirmed for the special celebratory episode of SmackDown, including Evolution, The Undertaker, Kane, Booker T, Vickie Guerrero, Christian, Teddy Long, Michelle McCool and Rey Mysterio.
It was nice of WWE to save the best for last . . .
