New Match Added To Season Premiere Of WWE SmackDown WWE

A new match has been added to the season premiere of WWE SmackDown next Friday.

The October 7 edition of SmackDown has been promoted as the season premiere episode. The show will feature the Clash At The Castle rematch of Gunther vs. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship.

On the September 30 edition of SmackDown, WWE announced that The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa will go one-on-one with Ricochet on next Friday’s season premiere episode.

This followed Sikoa and Sami Zayn defeating Madcap Moss and Ricochet on that same edition.

Both men recently interacted with Carmelo Hayes on NXT. Ricochet lost to Hayes in a North American Championship Match at the Worlds Collide event on September 3.

The following Tuesday, September 6 edition of NXT, Solo Sikoa dethroned Hayes of the title.

Sikoa was subsequently stripped of the North American Championship for not being officially sanctioned for the bout.

The season premiere of WWE SmackDown will also feature the first time ever face to face showdown in the ring between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Logan Paul ahead of Crown Jewel.
