Two new matches have been confirmed for this Sunday’s WWE NXT Battleground premium live event in Tampa, Florida.
WWE NXT is set to host it’s Battleground event this Sunday in Tampa, with four matches being officially announced for the show ahead of tonight’s go-home episode of NXT.
Tonight’s show saw Kelani Jordan face off against Zaria in singles action, with Kelani set to challenge Sol for a shot at the Women’s North American Championship should she win.
Due to some miscommunication between Sol Ruca and Zaria, Kelani did end up scoring the victory, punching her ticket to a match with Sol Ruca for the title at NXT Battleground.
Also taking place tonight was a match between Shawn Spears and Josh Briggs, which ended with Spears picking up the win after Izzi Dame had interfered on his behalf.
After the match, Shawn Spears, Niko Vance and Brooks Jensen of the Culling continued the attack on Briggs until NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank made the save.
It was later announced that the six-man tag between the two teams will take place at NXT Battleground this Sunday.
