New Names Announced For WrestleMania Andre Battle Royal

Following the announcement earlier of the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, WWE has just announced a batch of new names for the men’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Up to now, Braun Strowman, and Colin Jost and Michael Che of SNL, were the only names confirmed.

The full field as it stands now is:

  • Braun Strowman
  • Colin Jost
  • Michael Che
  • Andrade
  • Apollo Crews
  • Titus O’Neil
  • Tyler Breeze
  • Jinder Mahal
  • No Way Jose
  • Bobby Roode
  • Chad Gable
  • Kalisto
  • Gran Metalik
  • Lince Dorado
  • Bo Dallas
  • Curtis Axel
  • Heath Slater
  • Rhyno
  • Viktor
  • Konnor
  • Ali
  • Shelton Benjamin
  • Luke Gallows
  • Karl Anderson
  • Matt Hardy
  • Jeff Hardy
  • Otis
  • Tucker
  • EC3

What’s perhaps most interesting to note is the inclusion of the Hardy Boyz despite speculation that they could have been facing the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Titles.

That said, the omission of Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev, Cesaro and Sheamus could hint that a multi-team match including those could be the way they go, with Vince perhaps wanting to ‘punish’ the Usos for their forfeit in this past Tuesday’s New Day gauntlet match to help Kofi get his WWE Title bout.

Similarly, the Revival are absent from this list, as are Ricochet and Aleister Black, so that could be the Raw Tag Title match they go for.

Also notable by his absence is Kevin Owens, who was initially planned to face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title before Kofi Kingston’s sudden rise in popularity.

Or, any or all of those names could be added at a later date and we’ll all sigh in collective disappointment. WWE traditionally has 30 competitors in the men’s Battle Royal, and they’ve only announced 29 thus far. Feel free to let us know who you think the 30th will be.
