For many the most intriguing match-up taking place at WWE Super Showdown on Friday is not Randy Orton vs. Triple H or The Undertaker vs. Bill Goldberg but a ludicrous 50-man battle royal.
A battle royal that size has never been attempted in WWE or indeed anywhere else (there was a 60-man battle royal annually at WCW’s World War 3 PPV but that took place over three rings) and it will be fascinating to see if that many men can fit inside of one ring.
It is expected that every member of the male roster not already on the card (or not going for other reasons) will be part of the match, including several stars from NXT.
The entrants in the match have not yet been fully confirmed but we do know at least a few names who will be part of the match.
Last night during the commercial break on SmackDown, Elias revealed that he would be part of the match. Mojo Rawley did the same during a commercial break on Raw and NXT’s Matt Riddle is also expected to be part of it.
Karl Anderson has now confirmed via Twitter that he and Luke Gallows will both be in the match:
Flyin to Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 soon.
I’m gonna win the 50 man over the top rope battle royal ..

It is also likely that all of the men who acted as lumberjacks during the R-Truth vs. Elias match on SmackDown will be part of the bout, given the announcers were talking about the battle royal during the segment.
Amongst those involved were Matt Hardy, Erik Young, Drake Maverick, Robert Roode, Jack Gallagher, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, EC3 and Titus O’Neil.
