Toni Storm has beaten Rhea Ripley to win the NXT UK Women’s Championship at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool.
In a battle of two Australians (because anyone who speaks English outside of America is British), Ripley used her strength to dominate her opponent for a large portion of the match, but it wasn’t enough.
Ripley kicked out of one Storm Zero, but after being hit with a second, she was unable to raise her shoulder and Storm picked up the victory.
It’s been a great 12 months for Storm, who also won the second annual Mae Young Classic at Evolution in October.
