New Punishment For Using Banned WWE Move Pitched WWE

A veteran WWE star has suggested that one way to continue to protect one vintage finish is to actually institute a fine for using it.

After Kevin Owens used a Piledriver on Randy Orton on this past week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, a company Hall of Famer has a suggestion.

While the Piledriver has been protected for some time, being banned in WWE, Owens delivered one to Orton which resulted in a big fallout.

With Orton being stretchered away from the ring, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes even accompanied him out of the facility via ambulance to solidify the severity of the situation.

On Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry has commented on the idea of continuing to protect the move in another way – issuing a hefty fine if it is used.

Mark Henry said:

“I think that they should say, if you do it, it’s gonna be a $50,000 fine.

“When I was a kid, the DDT was the thing because… You remember playing wrestling? ‘I’m Jake The Snake, I got the DDT’ – ‘No no no, you can’t have it, I got it’.

“Because everybody knew, what’s gonna happen when you take the Jake The Snake DDT? It’s over.

“I don’t wanna see the Piledriver become, again, like a DDT or a Superkick.

“You know what I wanna see? I wanna see somebody say, ‘Hey, I got 50 grand burning a hole in my pocket. (I’m gonna) Piledrive your ass’.”
