A new tag team is now confirmed for a championship match at the WWE Evolution premium live event on July 13.
After Liv Morgan suffered an injury last month, her planned storyline for Evolution with Nikki Bella had to be dropped, which also meant new plans for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, as Morgan held the title alongside Raquel Rodriguez.
WWE has since announced that Rodriguez will proceed as Women’s Tag Team Champion, now alongside Roxanne Perez instead of Morgan, but they will have to defend the title at Evolution in a four-way match.
Their opponents will be one team from Raw, one team from SmackDown, and one team from NXT.
On tonight’s July 4 episode of WWE SmackDown (taped June 30), the SD representatives were determined.
The show held a three-way qualifier between the teams of B-Fab & Michin, Piper Niven & Alba Fyre, and Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair.
Bliss and Flair are new to teaming together, but they scored the win and have earned their spot in the title match at WWE Evolution.
The Raw and NXT teams have yet to be determined.
