A new report has revealed a possible spoiler on a new title belt to be introduced on the June 2 edition of WWE SmackDown.
This Friday’s SmackDown is receiving a great deal of hype and promotion as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be celebrating 1,000 days as Universal Champion.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), a new championship belt could be set to be unveiled on the show.
As of Thursday evening, the creative for the 1,000 Day Celebration had memos that mentioned “New WWE Universal Championship” on it.
There is apparently a podium set for the segment where the “New WWE Universal Championship” would be unveiled to the world. The presentation was mentioned as scheduled to resemble when The Rock unveiled the new WWE Championship to the world in 2013.
The report does note that this creative is subject to change and doesn’t confirm if this will be the one title that Roman will hold going forward if it is indeed unveiled on this Friday’s broadcast.
Besides the 1,000 Day Celebration, SmackDown will feature the fallout from The Bloodline imploding during the Night of Champions main event when Jimmy Uso turned on Roman Reigns by hitting him with a pair of superkicks.
