A new title match has been added to the June 14 WWE Backlash pay-per-view following last night’s episode of Raw on the USA Network.
Raw Women’s Champion Asuka will defend the title against Nia Jax at the event next month.
Jax went over Natalya and Charlotte Flair in a three-way match on Raw – pinning the former – to qualify for number one contendership.
Asuka technically won the Raw Women’s Championship in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match earlier this month.
The Kabuki Warrior didn’t know at the time, but Becky Lynch was announcing her pregnancy on Raw the following night, and said the ladder match was actually for the strap and handed the belt over to Asuka.
Jax has held the Raw Women’s Title once before, winning it at WrestleMania 34 from Alexa Bliss and holding it for 70 days until Bliss cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to win it back.
