A new TNA Wrestling World Champion was crowned at tonight’s Bound for Glory 2025 pay-per-view.
In the main event of TNA Bound for Glory, WWE NXT star Trick Williams put his TNA World Championship on the line against Mike Santana.
After falling short in his quest to dethrone Williams in his hometown of New York earlier this year at Slammiversary, Santana was seeking to right that wrong and finally bring TNA’s top men’s prize back to the TNA locker room in Lowell, MA.
After getting some emotional support through former LAX teammate Konnan during his entrance, Santana started fast by attacking Trick as he delivered his own ring introduction before the bell.
Despite this, it was Trick who dominated much of the early stages, with the champion busting Santana open early on and parading him in front of Santana’s daughter, who was sat in the front row for the match, something he eventually received a well deserved slap for from the young child.
In the end after an emotional back-and-forth closing moments, it was Santana who picked up the win courtesy of a second Spin The Block, dethroning Trick Williams and returning the TNA World Title to the TNA roster at long last.
Post match the emotional celebrations were interrupted before they could get going however, as Nic Nemeth, who earlier in the night won the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match along with Frankie Kazarian, attempted to cash-in his title opportunity.
Thankfully for Santana and the fans in attendance in Lowell, it was the returning Elijah who saved the day, striking Nemeth with a guitar.
One final twist was provided via Kazarian also trying to also cash-in his opportunity, however his attempt was thwarted by Santana himself, who downed the veteran with a Spin The Block.
Santana then finally got the chance to celebrate his win, presenting the TNA World Title to his daughter in an emotional scene to close the show.
