New World Heavyweight Champion Crowned At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event WWE

The new World Heavyweight Champion was crowned in the main event of tonight’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

At WWE Crown Jewel, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered an injury during the main event Crown Jewel Championship match with Cody Rhodes.

Rollins’ injury led to him being removed from the Vision two days later, with the World Heavyweight Championship being vacated in the process.

The vacant title would be on the line at tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show, with CM Punk, who won a Triple Threat to earn a shot at the title prior to Rollins’ injury, taking on Jey Uso, who won a Battle Royal to earn the right to face Punk.

The match closed out tonight’s show, with CM Punk coming out on top in the match, winning his seventh World Championship in his WWE career.

Punk captured the championship back at SummerSlam when he defeated Gunther, but he only held onto the title for five minutes before Seth Rollins would cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase to win the title.
