At Elimination Chamber, Drew McIntyre had to defend his WWE Championship in an Elimination Chamber match against Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Kofi Kingston. Sadly, none of them walked out of the pay-per-view as WWE Champion.
Drew McIntyre won the chamber match. However, The Miz had the Money in the Bank Briefcase. After the match, Bobby Lashley came down to the ring and took out Drew McIntyre. He beat him up badly.

This allowed Miz to cash in his briefcase. Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale and pinned Drew McIntyre. Miz is the new WWE Champion.
That’s right. Miz is the WWE Champion. Miz is now the champion in 2021.
We did get a segment earlier in the night where MVP and Miz were in cahoots. Miz could possibly have made a deal with MVP for a title shot for Lashley on Raw or a future show. Who knows?
