New WWE Championship First Winner Update

The latest update has been provided regarding the plans and progress on a new championship being introduced by WWE.

WWE recently introduced four new ‘developmental’ championships in the form of men’s and women’s ID Titles, and men’s and women’s Evolve Titles.

The ID championships will be be contested for in independent promotions with WWE’s current ID prospects eligible to become the first champions, while the Evolve titles will be contested for on the new Evolve show that airs weekly on Tubi, featuring a combination of ID prospects, Performance Center athletes, and NXT talents.

The latest update has been provided on the current status of the WWE ID Men’s Championship, as the official WWE ID social media page wrote:

The Opening Round of the WWE ID Men’s Title Tournament is double elimination.

The Opening Round will continue until the field is reduced to the final six, who will then compete in a single elimination tournament.

The two participants with the most wins will receive byes in the single elimination tournament.
