A double champion was crowned in the main event of tonight’s WWE Roadblock special episode of NXT at the Theater in Madison Square Garden.

Tonight’s Roadblock featured what was being dubbed as the ‘biggest women’s match in NXT history’, as NXT Women’s Champion Giulia and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer faced off.

The match was made official two weeks ago, with both women wanting to find out which champion was the better champion, before Ava made it official that the match would be for both the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

The match closed out tonight’s show, which also featured the Hardy Boyz defending the TNA World Tag Team Championship, as well as TNA X-Division Champion Moose challenging Oba Femi for the NXT Championship.

In the end, it was Stephanie Vaquer who managed to pick up the victory, ending Giulia’s reign as champion and becoming the first-ever women’s double champion in NXT.

The match between Giulia and Stephanie was reportedly made due to Giulia being banged up.

We will provide any updates on Giulia’s injury status as they become available.
