A new championship match for the October 25 WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view appears to have been revealed following last night’s Raw.
The main event last night saw Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode beat Drew McIntyre & the Street Profits in a six-man tag team match, with Orton pinning McIntyre ahead of their WWE Title bout inside Hell in a Cell.
However, speaking on the latest episode of Raw Talk after the show, Ziggler & Roode made it clear their intentions are to get a shot at the Street Profits’ Raw Tag Team Championship.
Even though it was Orton pinning McIntyre, the duo can now claim to have beaten the Street Profits as a way to have ‘earned’ a match for the title.
Unless it happens on TV in the next couple of weeks, this would seem a decent bet to be added to the Hell in a Cell card. It also wouldn’t be unlikely for WWE to have a TV match (or multiple) and then a rematch on the pay-per-view.
With tag teams splitting left, right and centre, Roode & Ziggler are really the only viable challengers to the Profits right now, so Roode’s return really couldn’t have come at a better time.
