A new international WWE premium live event was announced during night two of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight.
It’s been a strategy of WWE’s for the past couple of years to take some big events overseas, with the most recent example being the pre-WrestleMania tour of Europe.
During Mania, WWE’s return to Perth, Australia was confirmed.
In October, WWE will go back to Perth for an episode of Raw, SmackDown and a Premium Live Event.
It wasn’t actually announced which PLE it will be, as Michael Cole on commentary simply said it’s unnamed at this point.
The announcement featured the message on screen: “Stay tuned for more details later this month.”
John Cena will be part of the shows as it’s being advertised as the last time he’s wrestling in Australia.
WWE last held a major event in Perth with the Elimination Chamber in 2024, with the main event of that show being Australia’s own Rhea Ripley in a match against Nia Jax.
Other Aussies on the roster Grayson Waller and Indi Hartwell were part of the show as well. Bronson Reed was planned to be, but ended up being pulled out.
We’ll keep you posted with further updates as they emerge.
So far at WrestleMania 41 night two tonight, IYO SKY has retained the Women’s World Championship, and Drew McIntyre scored a win against Damian Priest.
