A new WWE name has been officially added to the company’s roster after making their debut on television this week.
On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, ESPN’s Joe Tessitore made his debut as the show’s new play by play commentator alongside Wade Barrett.
Tessitore received a lot of praise both from fans and those within the company following his debut, and he is now officially a part of the WWE roster.
WWE has now added Tessitore to their roster page, with his description reading:
The distinct voice of Joe Tessitore has arrived in WWE.
A world-renowned play-by-play announcer, Tessitore is well-known in combat sports as the long-time voice for ESPN’s boxing coverage.
During his time with ESPN and ABC, Tessitore has called the NFL, college football and basketball, horse racing and more on the biggest and brightest of stages.
Tessitore leads ESPN’s world championship fight broadcasts for “Top Rank Boxing on ESPN” and remains a fixture in ESPN and ABC’s college football coverage. He also co-hosts “Holey Moley” on ABC with Rob Riggle and Stephen Curry.
And now, Tessitore adds Monday Night Raw announcer to his already impressive repertoire.
Tessitore made his debut on the September 2, 2024 episode of Raw, working alongside color commentator Wade Barrett in a night he called a “dream come true.”
