New WWE NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley Praised By Legend

New WWE NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley has been praised by Tommy Dreamer following her title win last night.

WWE Halloween Havoc last night saw Paxley dethrone Jacy Jayne to become NXT Women’s Champion.

This marks Paxley’s first title win since she signed with WWE and NXT over four years ago in August 2021.

Commenting on Paxley’s win, Tommy Dreamer praised her on Busted Open, saying:

“We all judge a book by its cover. But with Tatum Paxley, I wanna continue to read each and every page of her story.

“We’ve all had moments where we feel like the awkward person in the room. And yes, she wasn’t the chosen one, but she worked her ass off to get there.

“And then I’m also talking about on camera, think of all the friendships she’s had, think of all the relationships that she’s had, and they’ve all either got called up and left her behind, or got let go, and here she is, still being the survivor.

“When you are so talented to get inanimate objects over… the doll – think of all those times we’ve seen a broken doll or somebody takes that doll. That doll is really a euphemism for her. She’s a broken doll.

“And when you’re not that chosen person, you have to work extra hard to become that. And she does, and telling her story, you can hear the passion in her voice, and that’s why fans resonate with people like that.”

Paxley’s win came after Izzi Dame had struck Jacy Jayne with the WWE NXT Women’s Championship belt, although it was made to appear as if Dame may have been aiming for Paxley, so that question will likely be answered soon.
