A reported new WWE signing has commented after competing in their final match in their home promotion ahead of the move.
It was reported last month that New Japan Pro Wrestling star Jeff Cobb was working for the promotion without a contract, with him being a free agent.
Following reported interest from WWE, it was also noted that Jeff Cobb’s name had appeared on the company’s internal roster, with him seemingly set to join the company soon.
Despite the rumours, Cobb has continued to work for New Japan Pro Wrestling , even recently winning the IWGP World Tag Team Championship with Callum Newman amid the speculation, with NJPW recently announcing that the titles had been vacated ahead of his departure.
Cobb competed in his final match for NJPW last night at NJPW’s Road to Wrestling Dontaku show, where he was defeated by Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Following the match, Cobb commented after competing in his final match in NJPW, where he reflected on his time in the promotion, signing off by saying ‘aloha’ ahead of his next step to WWE.
For now I'll say 'aloha'
