A new WWE signing has reacted to the official announcement that his debut match will take place next week on NXT.
After vignettes aired teasing his debut, WWE NXT General Manager Ava confirmed that Elio LaFleur will make his in-ring WWE debut on the January 20 episode of NXT.
Being thrusted immediately into a major title opportunity, LeFleur will challenge NXT North American Champion Ethan Page in his first WWE match, with Ava breaking the news to the reigning champion during last night’s episode of NXT.
Taking to Twitter in reaction to Ava’s announcement, LeFleur wrote:
The wait is over.
NXT DEBUT. NEXT WEEK.
NXT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP.
LeFleur was unveiled as a new WWE signee in October 2025 after undergoing a successful tryout with the company in March.
Before being renamed to Elio LeFleur in WWE, the French star went by the name Aigle Blanc, and competed across the European independent scene for over a decade, as well as making appearances in promotions in Asia and North American such as All Japan Pro Wrestling and Game Changer Wrestling.
