Details on plans for a new WWE reality show featuring new signings have possibly been revealed, ahead of two stars’ potential returns.
Since Triple H took over creative in July, a number of WWE stars have returned to the company, including Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Mia Yim, Johnny Gargano and most recently Tegan Nox.
While previous reports indicated that WWE was interested in bringing Chelsea Green back to the company, the former SmackDown star has yet to make her on-screen WWE return.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been some talk about potentially signing Green and her husband Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder).
Noting that there has been a pitch to give them their own reality TV show through E!, Meltzer wrote:
“Whether this comes to fruition, there are talks with E! about a new reality show.
“They are looking for legitimate wrestling couples. So some upcoming signings could relate to that if the project is finalized.
“The Matt Cardona name was mentioned as possible if the deal goes through since Chelsea Green is in.”
Matt Cardona was let go by WWE during the April 2020 round of cuts. Green was released by the company a year later in April 2021.
The two stars, who started dating in 2017, got married in December 2021.
WWE stars Bianca Belair and Montez Ford will soon star in their own TV series which you can read more about right here.
