A “new” WWE star had his official debut match on today’s March 24 episode of Raw at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
One of the matches advertised for today’s show was Dragon Lee vs Chad Gable.
However, during the show, Gable went to General Manager Adam Pearce with a doctor’s note excusing him from the match due to illness.
His replacement will be Raw’s supposed newest star, El Grande Americano.
El Grande Americano is the “mystery luchador” who’s been showing up for the past few weeks in an American Made luchador mask.
While the obvious expectation is that El Grande Americano is just Gable under a mask, there is still the question from a couple of weeks ago when someone in the mask was spotted behind Gable’s interview with Cathy Kelley.
So it appears that was just part of Gable’s plan to convince everyone it wasn’t him by getting someone else to wear the mask for that specific moment, but either way, El Grande Americano will supposedly have his debut match today.
During the match, Gable/Americano unmasked Dragon Lee during the match, allowing him to take advantage and pick up the win with an ankle lock.
