New WWE Tag Team Debuts

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, collectively known as Swipe Right, made their first WWE NXT appearance during tonight’s April 1 episode.

Baylor and Smokes were both scouted as WWE ID prospects a few months ago, and have been one of the highlighted acts on the new WWE Evolve show that premiered last month.

Tonight, they interrupted a backstage segment with NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom and the team of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.

Swipe Right confronted the champions, teasing a potential future match that could come as soon as next week per Vic Joseph on commentary.

Ending the verbal exchange with Fraxiom, Swipe Right also took it upon themselves to compliment a passing Roxanne Perez, with Baylor saying:

“Man, there is a lot of talent here. I’ll tell you, Roxanne, she’s a prodigy, but she’s also a smokeshow.”

Perez was on her way to a match against Kelani Jordan to determine who would qualify for the six-woman ladder match at WWE Stand & Deliver for the now-vacant NXT Women’s North American Championship.

The winner will join Zaria, who beat Lash Legend to qualify earlier tonight.
