A new WWE tag team name has been officially confirmed as they have added the moniker despite still appearing with their faction.
On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews had a match against a familiar team but coming out with a new name.
Angel and Berto made their entrance with the official name of Los Garza, however still accompanied by Santos Escobar and Elektra Lopez.
The duo also came out to a separate entrance theme rather than Santos Escobar’s as members of Legado del Fantasma – the theme they used as a tag team during their run in NXT last year.
In the end, Los Garza picked up the victory over the recently formed team of Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews.
The name ‘Los Garza’ was trademarked by WWE back in June.
Later in a backstage segment, Baron Corbin would confront Austin Theory about talking trash about him behind his back, as reported by Grayson Waller.
After the pair separated, Theory suggested to Waller that their tag team was about to break up since it seemed Waller was constantly getting Theory into trouble, but Waller was apologetic.
Waller would go on to tell Theory he was his “best mate “and he was sorry for getting him in trouble with his “banter”, but the signs of a split are clearly still there.
