Some news has come to light regarding a number of big names who didn’t appear on last night’s episode of WWE Raw on the USA Network.
With word that several WWE stars have tested positive for COVID-19, human nature kicked in for a lot of people who started speculating about who missed the show last night, which isn’t very helpful, but it’s just human nature.
PWInsider has provided an update on a few notable names who didn’t appear on the show.
According to the site’s report, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, Tag Team Champions Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin, Ricochet, and Nikki Cross, were all actually backstage last night and simply weren’t used. Fightful Select also noted the first four were there.
Angel Garza didn’t appear on Raw but was on Raw Talk and had a match for Main Event, and Humberto Carrillo and Akira Tozawa both had matches for Main Event too.
As we’ve already covered on the site, Dave Meltzer has reported that at least four WWE wrestlers either have or had COVID as part of the latest outbreak, including Drew McIntyre who is the only one that WWE publicly announced.
Meltzer said that there was one who missed SmackDown, a big star who just returned after recovering from the virus, and one in NXT. He also said “there’s a woman involved” too.
