The next challengers for the AEW World Trios Championships have been revealed on tonight’s AEW Rampage.
On the January 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, Top Flight defeated The Young Bucks in an upset win for Dante and Darius Martin.
On tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage, the Martin brothers had a backstage interview in which they discussed this big win and said they proved that the third time was a charm.
Speaking of three, Top Flight brought up their win in the Three Kings of Christmas Trios Battle Royale along with AR Fox.
With their win over the Bucks and the battle royal win, they issued a challenge to Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks of The Elite for an AEW World Trios Championship bout.
It remains to be seen when this match will go down, but it looks like the first title defense for The Elite since regaining the gold against Death Triangle in the best of seven series has been set up.
